Making a Victorian Lampshade - White Rabbit
Steps along the creation path of this colorful 60's themed Victorian lampshade and antique lamp pairing. This lamp is an internet sensation across many platforms! The crescent-moon shaped lampshades are incredibly popular today as form of maximalist self-expression. This lampshade was created with hand-dyed silk, couture lace and a wall of delightful glass bugle beads!
Who says lampshades need to be beige? A front view of this vibrant handsewn lampshade, paired with a gorgeous antique lamp in original finish and the perfect amount of patina. The antique lamp finial was added as a fun accent feature.

A few steps along the making path. I originally selected a different lamp base and began painting it, but I found favor with an antique lamp base in my collection that seemed to be a better fit for this lampshade. Here is a fun video that conveys the mood of the piece.
