White silk, antique metallic lace, beaded silk chiffon, and glittering gold adorn this gorgeous milk glass lamp, aptly named “Wedding Day”. This lamp is as formal and classy as a springtime bride. The Victorian lampshade features fine silk, and incredibly well preserved antique silk textiles made in the 1930’s.
The cast metal lamp base is a 1930’s gem with three tiers of milk glass; one hobnail orb, a star-shaped centerpiece, and a bottom base with an amazing raised rose motif. The lamp has been fully rewired by a certified electrician using new UL listed parts. The base metal portion has been hand-painted to harmonize with the beadwork.
The beads on Wedding Day are outstanding. Over 2,343 pieces adorn this small shade and include: Czech glass pearls, opalescent Czech crystals, gold-plated metal beads, and stunning tapered drop crystals with an iridescent finish.
